A Truly Livable Home

Kisker Construction, Inc. was established in 1991 in South Carolina and quickly established itself as one of the premier builders due to its constant desire to build quality custom homes for their discriminating clients.  Our willingness to listen to our clients and design their unique home while suggesting our experience allows us to build a truly livable lake home. We have designed a construction process from the initial contact, preliminary design, accurate and realistic budgeting, construction, to resolving warranty issues that makes building your dream home what it should be…..fun and enjoyable!

Principals

Brad Kisker – President

Upon graduation from Eastern Kentucky University with a major in Construction Management and minors in Business and Real Estate, he worked for a national construction firm ultimately as a Sr. Project Manager responsible for $15 million of commercial construction annually.  In 1996, he resigned and relocated to join his father in his growing custom home business in and around Lake Keowee.  Since becoming President in 2004 he has continued to instill the quality and integrity of the business established by his father.

Palmer M. Kisker – (Retired)

Palmer relocated to South Carolina in 1990 after developing and building custom homes in the Northern Kentucky/ Greater Cincinnati area for more than 25 years. He brought with him, along with his demand for quality, new building techniques that are now the standard in the Golden Triangle area.

Our Philosophy

A great majority of the homes we build in the Lake Keowee area for people who are relocating to the “Golden Corner” of South Carolina.  This can sometimes appear to be an overwhelming task trying to find a builder, draftsman, dock builder and even a boat.  For this reason, we make a concerted effort to help you make these important decisions with ease and confidence by referring you to established and trustworthy businesses.

We believe and will make every effort to make the building of your dream home as pleasant and enjoyable, as it should be.   The success of Kisker Construction over the years can be measured simply in one way…..some of our closest friends are our past clients! I don’t believe too many builders can make that claim.

We truly believe that building your home should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience starting with listening to your ideas and needs as a plan is in the early design stage.  Careful and realistic budgeting is a major focus as the plan is being developed and we will work with the Home Owner’s Association to make sure all covenants are being followed.  Open, honest and timely communication before and during construction is the cornerstone of a successful project.  For this reason, we operate on an open book policy with the homeowner having direct contact with all of the vendors working on their home.

Only established subcontractors are hired by Kisker Construction each carrying their own workers compensation and general liability insurance while adhering to high quality craftsmanship at a competitive price.  In today’s market, the financial stability of the builder and its vendors is very important and concerns many clients.  I run my business in a very conservative nature as well as constantly making certain my vendors are doing as well.

During our initial meeting, many of these topics will be discussed in detail.  But as you can tell, my goal as a builder is to have a enjoyable building experience ending with a home we will all be proud of for many years to come…..as well as a new friendship.
